I agree regarding the offline ability, though literally all the things I'm using 2FA for are online, as they are about logging-in to services. As for the 2nd point - I definitely don't think it has to be a separate app for each se

I'm using Bitwarden, for passwords, but I always felt uncomfortable with the idea of having my 2FA on my laptop too. It feels a little silly - if Bitwarden has both my password and my 2FA code, it's enough to hack my Bitwarden and

I love Aegis but I can't help but think that it's sad we ended up in this place with regards to 2FA. When all these temporary codes started they were sent over SMS, which was insecure but at least all I needed to do was to pick up

The grandparent post is about some malicious tactic used by Mozilla to prevent you from using old Firefox releases. I think it's pretty clear that there isn't such intent - if there was, the very least Mozilla would have done is p

It works great for me. No support for complex things: calls, message requests, and probably a few more. But most days I don't need to open any other app, and when someone asks me which network they can contact I honestly just don'

I use Beeper on Android to have one app through which I send messages on WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram etc. I never cared for iMessage support.

I have read it. I defines how much money the company needs to be making the EU and how many users they need to have. Sure, it's targeting big companies. The LED example you gave is actually a great one: I don't think the regulator

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about, which tracking code you want me to remove and in which of my websites you saw ads. I was never part of a company that had an ad/tracking-based business model, and in fact all my w

I tend to think these kind of things don't happen so fast, unfortunately. But if they are, I'd be full with joy to be making the PR that removes all that code.

It's been a while since I was reading through the specs so I could be wrong, but as far as I remember, you kinda had to "collect" the consent status server-side, which feels wrong (because sometimes there wasn't consent)

Many Wayland compositors provide an API to list the windows. I don't know about Plasma 6, but in Wayland it's up to the compositor to provide such API as far as I know.

Sure, maybe everyone left Firefox because of the "what's new" tab and the UI changes. But maybe it's because Safari is default on some devices, and Chrome has the world biggest marketing company behind it.
