Not sure I understand how Plancast works. I logged in via Twitter, and now I can't look at the main home page without picking a password, etc.

Diaspora isn't meant to be a site, it is an open source project to power social networks. Maybe you should look into what you are commenting about before commenting.

>Zuckerberg was actually a pretty good programmer. Its unlikely that Facebook would have gone anywhere had he not been. Is this built on the caricature presented on "The Social Network" or something? But anyway, that seems flawed -- the

I agree -- I played with Mojo: http://www.earnmojo.com which is similar, but we stopped using it because of the JS hit and because it wasn't as customizable as yours sounds.

I guess it is good that I had done that too -- I assumed you actually had to "connect" to Facebook because I visited the Scribd page as described in the article, and I didn't see any fancy Facebook stuff happening (although I did see my bro

Not really a BitTorrent app though, is it? It's just an interface to an Imageshack torrent client/cloud storage space.

This is a huge reason that I do not use Facebook to login to any site -- pretty much every site that offers that functionality asks to be able to post items for you (in your feed), to send emails, etc. It seems like some site owners' dreams

I suspect that most HNers don't really think that the current site has many issues. The lack of contrast between text and background is an obvious problem though, and one that the redesign linked here doesn't really help too much, imo. Al

Sounds a bit like Pearltrees. I'm likely going to add similar functionality to quippd as well at some point, but this looks very nice -- very sexy UI.
