Not for me at least, I had to fire up the console and try creating a new server.

I don't care about inequality, I care about the median.

It'd be great if Electron itself became a core part of the OS. Tauri is closer to this on MacOS because it tries to use WebKit but not enough.

I think you tried to narrow down my general statement. What I'm saying is: not all countries and their regulatory bodies are equal. India is a pretty top-down country with quite a protectionist policy.

I think it'd be pretty weird if people and teams inside a company go just go rogue against the CEO.

What issues do you see? I've never had issue with any mass operation there.

When I open Gmail, whether an app or on the web, it already has the latest emails loaded. When I open Mail.app, I have to wait for them to download. This is why Gmail is nicer in many areas.

But Mimestream is good specifically because it uses Gmail Sync API, not IMAP/SMTP.

Seems to me the route that these agents took is sort of exactly how a group of people would collaborate on building an RTS?

That's a crazy story. National TLD is a weird business from the beginning.

AI Mode is pretty good. It's quite reliable and much faster than any LLM chatbot. AI Overviews are pretty bad though.

I definitely noticed it's usually the CEOs and senior executives (so people the most removed from ground work) who suffer the most from it.

Building a Hacker News client has long been a rite of passage because the read-only API is freely available, cool to see more experiments like this. I believe at this point pretty much half of the users might have their own client :)

It's like saying that most YouTube videos are bad. Sure, but there's a power law and most people consume the top content.

Depends on what you're trying to do. Sell ads over your content? Probably not great. Sell goods? Still good for you. Become influential and spread ideas? Good for you. It's the news media that will suffer the most.

Now imagine if we create a separate company that invests in infrastructure and sells energy to willing buyers who don't have to deal with this. We could call it an energy company.

The main difference is in the frontend skills. GPT produces terrible design. What I do these days is ask Opus to produce an HTML mockup, then feed it to Codex.

If you haven't created a Gmail or an Instagram account in a while you might be surprised how aggressive it is. For instance, try doing this without verifying your phone. Both can ban you right away because they had to ramp up their ant

That's very simplistic. They also earn money on sales, both first-party and third-party games, so they need a large audience.

But we can have apps and developers like David on the Apple Watch. This is what makes it different from Garmin, where you need the company to build pretty much everything.

The same people who made Windows that bad are now tasked with making it slightly better. Yeah, I wouldn't bet on this.
