Oh no, this wasn't a rebuttal; it was merely an addendum to the points you've made. The site seemed in some places to advocate against not using threading at all, for reasons that have more to do with how easy it is to shoot yours

Many languages and their standard libraries also have useful high-level abstractions over threads and thread-pools that are much safer to use. Currently whenever I see a manually-managed actual Thread instance in a program I'm wonder

I liked what IE ... 8? has done abck in the day where opening a new tab from another one will create a colored group, so you kinda have automatic grouping that allows you to tell at a glance "Oh those all belong to the same tvtropes ta

The photos may have been edited for more contrast as well. The ingame images don't look unreal, actually; haze does reduce contrast and not every day is an opportunity to get a crystal-clear magazine-quality photo everywhere.

For me it treats every touch point as if it's the same finger, yielding lines between them. A fun effect, but probably not what is expected.

There's plenty of contexts where the extra indentation doesn't matter, though. And C#'s verbatim strings, at least when it comes to multiple lines, have the benefit of being extremely predictable in what ends up in the string

Well, unless the application modifies the search order. But that's precisely the reason why applications should not be installed in and run from user-writable directories, like, say, your downloads folder, or Appdata.

Haven't had a new laptop in a while, but as far as I'm aware, most touchpads are not Precision Touchpads and instead continue to emulate stuff in the driver without Windows knowing, so you're still at the mercy of the (usuall
