Really interesting to see this and YQL because so much changed but at the end of the day a lot of problems can be abstracted/solved as data integration problems. Currently working on http://github.com/cloudquery/cl

Good to see steampipe here :) Im the author of CloudQuery ( https://github.com/cloudquery ) and I believe we started at the same time though took some different approaches. PG FDW - is def an exciting PostgreSQL tech and is g

I very much hope it will work for you and it will succeed. This can be def an amazing turning point in data integration and ELT world. I do still have hard time understanding how this is technically feasible because let's say a company

It's an interesting take but I worry this might not be possible (for a lot of cases) because not everything is database backed and sometime you have logic behind the API and you actually want the result of that API in your data warehou

This. SIM is not secure and will never be. just use yubikeys and/or other compatible webauthen and you will finish this non-ending cat and mouse race of phishing/anti phishing solutions.

I always wonder why you need a design system for a dev first product. MaterialUI + theme palette would be enough most probably but I guess its the (soon to be over) age of free money.

Milton Friedman - Money and Inflation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_nGEj8wIP0 I think is under rated talk which explains complex stuff in layman terms.

Shameless plug, you can also enjoy CloudQuery ( https://github.com/cloudquery/cloudquery ) where we take a more ELT approach so you can use plain SQL for policies ( https://github.com/cloudquery/cloud

Good to see security moving to data engineering. Shameless plug: we are building similar stuff but for configurations here - https://github.com/cloudquery/cloudquery https://docs.cloudquery.io/blog/

I like the idea of that, though Im curious if an EL approach is the right way to go especially at scale where queries might get all blocked run out of mem in OctoSQL.

Seems like a service company disguised as a SaaS company which says their revenue is coming from "SaaS" but actually they have an internal tool which doesn't scale and 4000 engineers that are doing basically one-off services.

I agree it might solve part of the problem but I wouldn't jump into this on day 1 of your startup as because its a framework/platform you will be betting your whole company on this. Im not saying its not good just giving a warning

The technology is interesting but honestly I don't recommend it to any early stage startup as it has a very high learning curve, high maintainability, limited visibility and so on. Maybe if you got to a stage that you have a problem th

Yes, in an ideal world it should. Also, I agree as someone here noted immutability and IaC are related terms but not the same and the article mostly covers IaC best practices (in a good way!). BTW - drift detection is a harder problem than
