Agreed with pretty much everything here. It's a nice UI, looks good, is smooth, well done overall. However, it doesn't fit how I read HN or Reddit - I tend to scan and be drawn to keywords and visually interesting parts of the thr

They did fully remove it about a year ago. At the time, the official support response was to point people at the GDPR export. Based on my email from when I requested a GDPR style export, that was around 2020-09-15. It was just in the past w

Thanks for mentioning this. This looks like a nice companion to Obsidian and org-mode. It seems to mix a lot of the great qualities of each.

Emacs org-mode, the org format, and the general ecosystem (agenda view, org-roam, and lots of other things) don't really care how you structure your data, so you can choose between: * a bunch of very focused small files * a sin

Obsidian really is a great choice if you are looking for Markdown. Windows, Linux, Mac, Android/iOS mobile apps soon. It's polished, fast, and all around a great experience. Flexible inter-note linking (wiki style), visualization,

If you want to export your Keep notes (and almost all of the metadata and media) into Markdown format, I helped write keep-exporter, a tool to accomplish just that. It downloads the text content of the notes and the majority of media (some

The situation would be better than it is now, even with every bank implementing their own proprietary API. As it is now, the APIs may or may not exist - and a lot of times the fall-back for these services is web-scraping, using the same

I can't find a really important detail on the website or github - and haven't been able to easily find it - how is the underlying data stored? It looks like it might be a custom format, which might make sense for the project, but
