You can also use TCP_CORK to reduce the number of packets without any increased latency. Disabling TCP_NODELAY would also reduce number of packets + be portable & simpler to implement - but would incur a latency penalty.

imo there's nothing "degraded" about editing text without arbitrary code execution. that's what text editors are supposed to do.

The grey bar at the top that says "this is an untrusted workspace" is really annoying & encourages users to trust all workspaces.

Having your family leave the home & run to the church during an attack seems ill-advised.

The proximity to churches + lack of ventilation makes this theory unlikely in my head. I also feel that some families would have grabbed some food or water before heading down there.

>But script.src = URL requires a network request. By that time, Meet might have already created the “reactions” channel, and my hook would miss it. Is it possible to use a data URI? That would not incur a network request.

The tracking pixel still needs to be clicked on. e.g. FB Messenger & WhatsApp have their own web scraping infrastructure to provide server side link previews & thereby mitigate tracking links. Not sure if Steam does the same current

Not true - if users want to play a game without appearing online, this would still out them.

By that logic, we should remove all friend-level privacy settings entirely. I don't think that would go over well with most of the userbase.

How would a cyberattack cause a train to derail on a straight stretch of track?

Domains map one-to-one with registrars, but multiple AS can be using the same IP address.

Firefox does already have some tracker blocking built in, though it would be fantastic to import arbitrary filter lists. Chrome & Safari are operated by advertising/surveillance companies, so no dice there.

Not compared to the uBlock Origin. You can't even import a filter list. Main reason I use Firefox.

That creates problems when you need to use multiple allocators. IMO allowing an allocator to be specified is a superior design.
