> it does NOT apply to current visa holders How about transfers? Transfers technically count as new visas and need to be petitioned. Will every new employer have to shell out 100K? If that's the case, H-1B holders are now actually

I’m unsure what he’s trying to say either. The gibberish and out-of-context replies ITT are making me think HN, like many other sites, is laden with bots now.

Just take finasteride. As a nice side effect, you won’t go bald.

No you can't. Even if you could (which you can't, at least on my, modern, phone), it would be a workaround, not a solution. A solution would be allowing free selection like in the browser or, better yet, ditching "native&quot

Git GUIs like Turtois, Cracken, Lens, VSCode's Source Control are opinionated and for some reason all do weird stuff under the hood. If you look at the commands being run, a simple action or click in the menu results in a combination o

You can't "send them back home." They'll just find another employer. They aren't the "indentured servants" y'all are trying to paint them to be.

Boo hoo. Give it all away to children in Africa. I assure you they'll know what to do with it.

Isn't text-to-speech very expensive? Last time I checked, Eleven Labs, the most natural-sounding TTS provider, were charging insane amounts per token. Wasting so much on scammers sounds unsustainable and just silly.

I wish they'd gone with [Compact Tabs] a-la Safari instead of Vertical Tabs a-la Edge. A unified tab and address bar is just so much more elegant and versatile. After switching back from MacOS to Windows, it's only thing I truly

I'll take a few ads over the illogical mess that is MacOS. To make your settings stick, use group policies instead of Control Panel, Settings and the registry. It's the much more stable and better documented equivalent of MacOS&#x

I'd never use F-Droid due to how insecure it is. They still modify all app signatures, so you can't even verify what you're installing is authentic.

It's neither consequential nor AI which we won't see, our children won't see, their children won't see, etc., so seems fine to trust Altman with chatbots.

Doesn't sound real. I've typed correctly my whole life and have a lower WPM than that. You'd need to move your fingers at superhuman speeds to achieve that with just two wingers.

It does happen and is very handy. Your far-fetched example is easily circumvented with a disclaimer saying this is a form copy (duh). I've never received one that didn't say that.

IIRC doing just the latter messes up your brain. If you're interested in retaining your cognitive function long-term and avoiding early onset dementia, maybe do both. Write things down when you hear them, then copy the important bits o
