Similar sentiment has been expressed by others. In the (simpler and less studied) game of Shogi, AG made very startling moves, which increase the number of vulnerabilities (and opportunities). AG is able to better balance all these combinat

Isnt vandalism a problem with dock-less scooters ? I can imagine someone passing by, picking up one of these and dumping it into a garbage can. Maybe the margins are so high they can just effort to replace them ?

Are these the space-grade multi-junction panels? Are the Loon panels size-constrained or cost-constrained ? The article itself is odd - most PV will go to utility and commercial scale. Even on rooftop, aesthetics are possibly down the list

Well, I can probably mine 10 tops books and come up with a good list of 100 abstractions. But i am sure someone has done a much better job than me on this..

Is anyone aware of a birds-eye catalog of common code abstractions? e.g. linked list, hashes, lookup table, classes, counters, iterators, etc (Not referring to books such as TAOCP which cover a few topics in-depth)

HP paid $11BN for UK-based Autonomy, only to discover accounting irregularities and crashing sales within a year. The British criminal investigation was closed last year. Sigh..

Well, actually... PG laments the difference between today and 1500s. He is not talking about some ideal utopia. So the reply tweet claims that the difference is not that great.

A train+bus is a much higher threshold for many people. Will you go to a lawyer that requires a bus+train? A restaurant? A party u r not too sure about ? Trains are relatively dependable. The last mile is a big problem. (To be clear : i am

Lots of truths in the article. BUT Trains is always a system that picks winners & losers. The closer u r to the nearest station - the bigger winner u r. I lived in London. Any location not within 1km of a station is basically a prison.
