I've been using Scala on Android + Intellij IDEA for about the past month after wanting to try something new[1]. Other than having to run it through proguard first, the compile process in Intellij is comparable to how it is with just J

I not sure if the OP is being serious or not after reading his description and realizing he does not mention spore once. EA is honestly not the company I would want to make this kind of game though. I played Spore when it came out and altho

I play violin. I consider playing it to be valuable to my own piece of mind and play for others on occasion. I'm sure I'm not the only amateur musician on HN though.

Hard to say with the way automatic filtering is done. If you don't mind waiting, post it again when you do a major update.

That's kind of a loaded statement that seems acceptable when taken at face value (and applied to the topic you are likely alluding to), but in reality, cannot be used as a maxim for every circumstance. If what is considered ethical is

If you're attending a university or still in high school, perhaps ask one of your teachers to recommend someone that might be willing. Either that or start attending some of the extracurricular clubs at your school. If not in school, t

Welcome to HN :) "Show HN" just makes it stick out more if someone is skimming for new content, since it shows you're not just a submitter, but also the creator. No worries though.

Suggestion for the submitter, since I saw you're also the author of the library. When you create something, submit it as a "show hn" instead of a normal submit and link directly to the project instead of reddit. It will likel

Agreed. I would consider almost any sort of alternative content refreshing at this point, even if it's something I don't actively follow. Sadly, I've been upvoting stuff I wouldn't normally upvote the last few days just

That's a good way to look at it. I feel a bit better about losing it after seeing that it even affects users that have been active on HN much longer than myself.

Something like moot kind of kills off-site collaboration (like email and chat) when you cannot right click + copy and save a link. If there's a way to get a link to individual threads, it's not intuitive at all, unfortunately.

I mostly come to HN for the comments and the articles secondary. Sometimes I want to flag a link bait or potentially bad article, but I decide against it because while the article might be sub-par, the comments that will follow on HN will b

With as many horror stories (albeit some are more amusing than mean) reported at Penny Arcade's from the trenches site[1], the pastebin does not seem all that surprising. Game testers seem to be mostly treated as disposable by the AAA game
