I approve, the new design makes more sense like that, the black nav-bar seemed out of place. I still don't have it yet and wonder how the homepage looks like? (Google.com)

Oh, boo hoo. It's not like it's a popup for a hair-loss product or whatever, it's a notice in Chrome for a Chrome like product and there is an "x" beside it.

Sigh. If this small gesture would appease those trying to ruin the internet with stupid copyright laws and delay their stupidity then why not? there is no harm there, the sites are indexed, this is by no means "censorship" and some lawyer c

Not all editorial action is "censorship", the sites in question are still indexed. And I think you are aware why they are doing it considering the pressure on them from politicians and harmful laws introduced all the time. The title is link

The app wasn't meant to attract new users but mainly to support existing ones, so it's an option that is "good to have" rather than the product itself. If a user or a company deploying Google Apps felt that they needed a native option then

One of the advantages of repackaging webapps is that they can be quickly iterated upon and in any case that is the Google way: release early, iterate often. The app should gain the missing features soon enough.

Even when the webapp is great? I don't see why they or anyone else should maintain several versions of the same app, focusing on one version and iterating quickly is surly to everyone's benefit.

The thing I like most about the iOS Gmail app is that it’s an elegant solution, they packaged the excellent webapp (the soon to be released redesign) and endowed it with native notification capability. It’s a cost-effective solution and one

What is this obsession in the press about killing Google initiatives? I'm not imagining this am I? it's all about "this isn't working why even bother". Not everything needs be an over night success, specially new concepts such as this, they

Why not? it's younger than Intagram and one has to start somewhere. Also it's natural fit for Google, they have disparate social feature for disparate products and now they can unify them, it's mission isn't to kill Facebook.
