All I'm saying that evaluating every research language out there and seeing how well it suits your problem would just take too much time. Getting acquainted with a few well-known languages and a few DSLs or cult-followed languages should be

You're totally right. Now that I think about it, zero-tolerance always equates to zero-thought, as the point of zero-tolerance to create a shortcut through judgment and rules.

I'm not saying they're a good idea, but countering an anecdote with another isn't a very good way to affirm your point. I doubt letting everyone go who tries to shoplift a book from the library in hopes of them becoming characters more fit

Image recognition in what domain? Do you want to be able to look at a photo and determine what objects are represented, or do you want to be able to do OCR or do you want to filter biometric data or something else entirely?

To me, "software engineer" means you can come to a large, existing project, look at their open tickets and begin to attempt to fix the issues. "Senior software engineer" means you can design such a project, push the first commit and supervi

While this sounds like good news to me, as a current fan of NPR, what exactly does hyper-local mean and how is it different from just local? Usually these stations cover metropolitan areas, so how local can you get?

For lining up arguments like that, (esp with long objc calls), I use spaces after indenting to the level the code is indented. For instance, [\t]int val = 0; [\t]callSomeFunction(someOtherVal, [\t].................val); Anywho, i

Tabs. It drives me nuts to see people use spaces for everything. Tabs are there for exactly that purpose. If you want your code to line up properly, just comment on how wide your tabwidth is, and the reader of the code will adjust according

"efficiency" is a vector, not a scalar. I think rolling out deals, new products, and promotions is made a lot cleaner by having that be generative. There's definitely a lot of value to having images assigned to products and not to products+
