It's all well and good to opine for the days of old, but when you consider the real-world implications that led to the removal of Flash/Java from the ecosystem, I'd gladly give up the opportunity to experience your art instal

I think it's the modern equivalent of pithy sound bites - it lets people retweet (eg quote) particular parts without any particular effort and allows for infintely scalable promotion of the poster. That, and blogs are so last-month maa

I did intro to programming as part of a degree as a mature-aged student and the only way to get a good mark was to do an "extra project" that the professor would sign off on. I wanted to make a GUI RSS reader with the ability to e

I've been to Europe a few times lately and I'm a massive fan of Vodafone's coverage and offerings. The only issue I had was the lack of tethering on a prepaid SIM, but the free wifi everywhere I went was normally good enough

Worse still, the forums are full of spammers, phishing and malware links. I've posted in the past and had nothing but fake call centres and phishing links posted, which eventually get removed, but I did click on some of them (in sand

The hardest part for me is that sometimes, just sometimes, his blog has some great little nuggets of insight and usefulness, but the signal to man-with-opinions-and-noone-said-no is just ... too low. :(

I clearly missed something, but why are you not going markdown -> PDF directly? That's what we use extensively in our operations playbooks at work and it gives something that looks like I'd get in a book - even more so after I

This sounds like a process, not an engineering problem. The plane had known faulty sensors, and the pilots didn't know about crucial operating features of the plane. No amount of engineering will save you from this, if you add more t

In Australia I had to pay 50% over RRP because the only vendor is Amazon and .com.au is a mere shell of its American parentage - filled with profiteers reselling at huge margins. :(
