I work as a C++ programmer. I would love to switch to Rust, but: (1) To my knowledge, it has only one implementation, which isn't surprising, given there is no spec, so basically there is nothing to reimplement. As @sircmpwn put it: &g

Oracle? With their approach to IP? No, I don’t think so. I don’t think they care about anything but money in the least.

My best guess would be that it is caused by the fact that GMail doesn't really have folders per se. It emulates them when it's syncing with your client through IMAP and the web interface shows you folder icons, but these are reall

Files can be shared in a directory everyone has access to. On Unix-like system it doesn’t pose any problems (create a special group and assign permissions to it). I would suspect that on Windows you can do something similar (setting up a “D

Years ago I sniffed packets sent by Chrome and found that it sent loads of data to Google servers when it was completely unnecessary for it to serve its function (as a browser). Haven't used it ever since.

So the author claims that the JS ecosystem is excellent and HTML&CSS are broken? Yet it is my never-ending experience with the web that a website’s usability is inversely proportional to the extent it uses fancy JS frameworks.

I don’t use GMail. Clock is time-related, so I guessed this icon is for “save for later”. Right-pointing rectangle? I would guess it is for moving mails between folders.
