Browsers like Chrome do it with geolocation for example. If it is required for the user to get a certain service they want, what's the "scary" part? You can say no and use the parts of the site that work with it, or yes and get the extra fu

Thanks for the comment, that makes more sense. I was trying to figure out in my head how to do the lookups to reander comments with votes and what comments the user voted on all from one data table. Also I guess the table schemas are slight

Maybe Instagramm built the camera? But seriously, I guess for the same reason Couriosity runs on old PowerPC processors. They are just well tested and less likely to fail. If you want a high res image, you can always take 10 images and glue

The Olympics were a good idea, but now they have become just ridiculous. The last time I watched the Olympics was about 8 years ago. I rather go to a local sports event that is actually about the sports competition.
