Use tailwind.css, it's the best way. Then do breakpoints such as md: and lg: in the class names. And lots of flex box.

GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 have benefited quite a lot of software engineers at a minimum. I don't see why GPT 5 would be any different.

Approximately 8 billion people have accomplished less in their lives than Sam Altman... maybe criticize them instead? And so what if he's selling a vision of the future? That's a large part of entrepreneurship.

This may be controversial to some people here, but Israelis have high IQs genetically and from good parenting. When you put a bunch of determined high IQ people together they're going to outperform.

The FBI is too big... hopefully this will be a disincentive to not look for jobs there. Every state already has its own police force. There's no need for a massive federal agency to do the same type of stuff.

The people in government aren't incentivized to be effective largely because they have no personal financial reason to be. There's no stock options or things like that, no good bonus programs, etc.

I disagree. You don't want the government to own things because they would be slow and ineffective at corporate governance. It's better to simply subsidize and let the business owners make the important decisions.

Have you ever played an economics game such as Victoria 3? IMO the government should do a lot more subsidizing of important businesses. It would grow the economy faster in useful ways.

Sleepwalking is a condescending term, like the author knows better than them. You know what else is stupid? Excessive over-regulation and the stagnation of Europe's economy, which aligns with the author's politics. >Year-on-yea

They recently switched it to a neural net model instead of the old approach that had a ton of hard-coded C++ logic. I agree it's hard to time when it's good enough for robotaxis and such, but good progress is being made.

Well it also paid dividends the entire time too which doesn’t get factored into the price. So maybe it matched up with inflation. I don’t know either way. You’d have to compare the total return with the total inflation.

In my experience the best way to solve procrastination, provided you have a tangible goal, is to do at least one small thing towards it per day. This will often (but not necessarily) put you in the mindset to do more things.

The interest payments go into the pockets of entities or people who then use it to spend in the global economy. So the interest alone isn’t an issue from a macro economic perspective.
