Looks like it's an Amazon FC now, if it's the land next to the "Intel DuPont community garden"

I wasn't even aware there's an Intel plant here. Where is it?

This doesn't sound like a thermal issue with the chip itself though, more in the physical socket.

In the mobile market though, perf can directly translate into battery life.

>We are aware of a limited number of reports online claiming that excess voltage while overclocking may have damaged the motherboard socket and pin pads. Well, if the overclocking part is true, shrug. Not that it's great, but it&#

Germany doesn't even have a general fair use doctrine in the first place! It's really horrendous. Most countries' governments outside the US also assert copyright on their own works, which is ridiculous IMO, but is a good rep

No one ideally, but in the real world someone is going to be. It's considered basically accepted by governments, just don't get caught. That being said, it's interesting that a lot of the China vs US heat started ramping up

Yeah actually, I'd rather have my government doing the backdooring than a foreign one. My interests are generally more aligned with the US government's than China's.

Just tell the voltage regulator to output 12v instead of 3.3.

It's relatively straight forward to recompile the kernel. Especially compared to Linux. https://man.openbsd.org/release#2._Build_and_install_a_new_k...

Ah, linear displacement, of course. Customary units, bleh :) I'm incredibly glad there was no metric/customary split in electricity.

Who cares about per resident? That's $35 million in profit per year already (after paying off the contract). That's not nothing. If admin costs and staffing come anywhere even close to that, the contractor is screwing up. >Sinc

It does have enough GPIOs that you could probably hook a magstrip reader up though. But you could also do that with a $5 ESP32 dev board.

This has me curious what muzzle energy is actually measuring. ft-lbs is usually a unit of torque, but I don't think there's any rotation in a relevant direction here?

In the case of a monorepo, that's exactly the case why the build system shouldn't be overly complex. If you're expecting random people to make changes to your stuff, you shouldn't be burdening them with more complexity

IMO there's almost never a good reason to have automated commits in repos outside of two cases: 1) Automated refactoring 2) Automated merges when CI passes Configs that can be generated should just be generated by the build. But that&#

https://chicago.suntimes.com/city-hall/2022/5/26/23143356/ch... tl;dr if you can't read it due to GDPR: >Parking meter revenues are nearly back to pre-pandemic levels. With 61 years to go on

I seriously doubt there's a single repo on the planet that averages hundreds of commits per minute . That's completely unmanageable for any number of reasons.

I truly believe any build system that uses a general-purpose language by default is too powerful. It lets people do silly stuff too easily. Build systems (for projects with a lot of different contributors) should be easy to understand, with

The only problem with that is if your electricity generation capability is correlated with the outside temperature. You don't want everyone turning on their resistive heat right when you have the minimum generation capacity.

Outside of typescript, this feels like a response from a decade ago, when Python was still mired in the 2 vs 3 problem. What's happened to the popularity of all of these languages since 2010? Outside of JS/TS, absolutely nothing.
