I'd think the issue would be more build infra, every new variant means you have to build the world again

Work also has to be "creative" in order for it to be eligible for copyright. This is why photomasks have special, explicit protection in US law; they're not really "creative" in that way. https://en.wikip

I just drove from the US border to the yukon, and the amount of fast charging available in BC, even north of Prince George, shocked me! We took our diesel truck for other reasons, but we thought we could have done this trip in the model 3

Given the almost exponential growth curve of EVs at this point, wouldn't almost every weekend be a new busiest day ever (maybe with holiday spikes keeping the title for a few months at a time)?

At least switching ISPs back then meant essentially signing up for an account and changing phone numbers. Now there's all this physical infra to deal with, yuck :)

You don't even get a marginal emissions benefit. When you grow crops outside of their ideal climates, you end up emitting a lot more for things like fertilizer than whatever you emit for longer distance transportation.

Usually the coloring problem IME goes the other way: you want to run a synchronous/blocking function in an async context. How does Zig deal with that?

It's too bad I didn't have the language to debate consequentialist vs deontological ethics with my 6th grade math teacher.

I think we have the same idea: stupid grades that don't measure actual results are bad. Not that I'm salty, but I always had poor grades because I rarely if ever did homework. But I aced the tests, so why bother?

How do you know who's doing well then? Seems like eliminating quantitative measurements will only make things worse.

Sure, for PCM stereo content it still works perfectly fine. Which is a lot of stuff! But it'd be a poor choice for 5.1 or better today.

I have a similar issue with a Nvidia 1080Ti on my old desktop. It's related to the UEFI deciding if the iGPU or the Nvidia GPU should be primary and to disable the iGPU or if the iGPU should stay enabled.

The economics are different: Redfall isn't a huge name, so it's more valuable for MS to get people into the game pass subscription than the comparatively piddly incremental one-time revenue they'd get from releasing it on PS5

TOSLINK/S/PDIF is way out of date and no one uses it any more. Ironically, because it doesn't have enough bandwidth for things like Atmos.

I don't know. I doubt MS, Sony, or the FTC know either. They probably have an idea, but who's to say if it right or wrong? It's really hard to predict markets out that far.
