Correct. I recommended the use of DNSCrypt first specifically for this reason. DNSSEC alone primarily helps prevent DNS spoofing, phishing, and MITM attacks. All useful, but DNSCrypt gives you encrypted DNS queries. Maybe I should have clar

As people already pointed out that your product isn't free, if you require knowledge about a person then they're giving you their information. Facebook doesn't cost a user money, but it costs them plenty else. For a product w

This is completely ignoring the useful use cases of "disposable" emails like privacy. I have a domain that I specifically use as a catch all, so anytime I sign up for a website I use the domain as the username, like news.ycombinat

Seems really annoying to get setup with Sia though. You need to have at least 50,000 SC to begin hosting, and you can't earn SC until you start hosting. You even need SC to announce your host (15 SC), and the apps don't explain if

I definitely think that cryptpad.fr doesn't know the meaning. Keybase's entire purpose is to make a public database of people. They know who you are, therefore, they have some knowledge. Not that complicated. If you store user pro

This is irrelevant if you use a proper business account like American Express. You have return protection, are able to return anything within 90 days, if ymthe merchant won't accept it then the payment processor does a charge back and

I'd see a trailing or leading comma as a potentially null, or undefined. It's intentionally against spec. I personally see the concatenation an issue in particular with streaming. Streaming JSON objects and parsing them on the fly

I don't believe the original purpose of JSON was to eval untrusted objects, since that would always have posed a security risk. It did however offer a very easy standard way to share and parse data back in 1999. In 2016, I believe cont

I think if breaking changes are made, there is no point, it would not be called JSON 2.0; it is an entirely new data format. When there are hundreds to thousands of alternatives, trying to "fix JSON" isn't the solution. JSON

I was thinking along very similar lines when reading the article by Tim Bray. JSON is designed for JavaScript compatibility, I almost stopped reading when he said: > They’re inessential to the grammar, just there for JavaScript compat

I've seen many implementations of this exact thing, the basic ones are just sha1 or sha2(master + website domain) which generates a unique "password" for each site. This is just another implementation of the same idea. I&#x27

The article describes ways to avoid using very, not that you should replace every instance of very with another synonym. There are instances when you can easily replace "very XXX" with a more descriptive term.
