Unlike European supergrid there are not many news about this project. And given that last mention was in 2013 and completion date is set for 2020-2025, it looks abandoned.

Here is the very simple but practical explanation why: https://0day.work/an-example-why-nat-is-not-security/ And more high-level explanation as well: https://www.f5.com/resources/white-papers/

Maybe genetically modifying some organism to have multiple sack-like wombs would be more promising and energy/nutrient-efficient approach. Something like a tree with many such wombs, that are able to grow mammals (why limit ourselves o

Capstone doesn't vendor LLVM either. It just contains some pieces of the LLVM-ish infrastructure that were converted from C++ to the pure C and are pretty lean, without any external dependency.

It just updated to the nearly latest LLVM, so that argument is void: https://github.com/capstone-engine/capstone/blob/next/docs/c...

It's just a wrapper around LLVM. So any project would be forced to ship also the corresponding LLVM version, if it's not present on the system - e.g. for Windows or embedded applications. A bit too much for a simple disassembler.

It uses semi-automatic mechanism[1][2] of generating C code from the LLVM sources (TableGen files). [1] https://github.com/capstone-engine/capstone/blob/next/suite/... [2] https://github.

I would agree with you but in the case of Swift is largely confined to the Apple ecosystem with other platforms as an afterthought, while both C++ and Rust try to cover as many targets as possible.

There's no reason to use Swift outside of the Apple platform. Rust is much better option and more cross-platform. And they work hard on reducing the binary size as well.

I wish there was something for 3D level of exploration, preferably open source, something like Stellarium but in 3D, something similar to the navigation interface[1] in the Expanse TV series. [1] https://www.joycenho.com/wp-

It would be nice to make a simple website that will list those repositories in easily discoverable way per country. Something akin to "Awesome Research" list.

What's annoying in IDA Pro price system is that for every OS you need a separate license. Every other tool - Binary Ninja, JEB, etc - has just a license for particular edition and add-ons but it is valid for every operating system.

This problem could also be solved by using battery swap stations, where batteries charge much slower but the change is nearly instant. It's already a standard for electric motorbikes in Asia, especially for delivery folks.

I only wish it wasn't written in Python - writing good GUI apps is way too hard with it, also the lack of static typing makes development of anything beyond simple scripts a potential minefield.
