Python was never supposed to be a language for anything more complex than basic scripting and prototyping. Use proper languages with static typing (and better speed) for anything serious. And no, JavaScript isn't a good language either

I also recommend to think about something like Nigma[1] (Russian metasearch engine) had done before, something along the lines of Wolfram Alpha - mathematics, physics, chemistry. It's possible to integrate with something like Sage Math

On the one hand, I am glad it finally got the proper funding. On the other hand, I would prefer more effort going into more modern implementations [1] or protocols[2][3]. [1] https://sequoia-pgp.org/ [2] https://

Mars offers no protection and not exactly rich on resources. I think, Venus sky cities[1] have bigger potential. There is a drove of resources plus free energy from Sun. [1] https://bigthink.com/hard-science/how-to-colo

Well, winters are cold, indeed. Normally between -20C and -30C. I wouldn't call that brutal, though. With central heating it's not a big deal, in my opinion. Lawless driving? For sure not true. Organized crime? I don't think

Moscow is 24/7 city as well. Shanghai is promoting nightlife economy on the city level. Both are insanely pedestrian-friendly with one of the best public transportation infrastructure in the world.

It makes sense since such people have more diverse experience and more adaptive, agile. They could bring new perspective to the team. I would say balanced approach is better - part of long tenure applicants and part of the hopping ones.

It's probably HR that can be completely automated by the AI and scripts, also I bet it would be much more efficient and even cost- efficient.

All these articles suggest "if we don't stop", "if carbon emissions will not be reduced", they aren't realistic. Knowing people, I doubt it will be done enough in the right time. The only right strategy is to s

Move to Russia with its low tax of 13% (could go as low as 7.5% if you establish a company and enjoy some additional benefits) and work remotely. Or any other country with low taxes and low cost of living.

See also this[1] ussue to track the progress. There are problems even with XWayland, e.g. on HiDPI setups. There's a work-in-progress solution [2]. If you are willing to patch the software and build from sources it will help. [1] http

Official server should have never been in Python anyway. Not a proper language for the network server. They should have adopted Go or Rust servers as the official ones, and pour resources there instead.
