Loved my Satellit 700! I was pretty hard on it when I had it as a teen but hopefully I can find some time to fix it up. Still has my carefully programmed EPROM chips in it.

I'll hopefully make it next year, unfortunately things didn't work out this time. There's always a few talks that send me on deep dives to find out more and I really like the variety. I'll be watching live like I do ever

Thanks, I forgot about that one. I usually use http://www.websdr.org/ and I find these sites quite useful to check propagation.

I'm curious how endurance is handled in this case. Is there a wear level guarantee when provisioning it? I guess this is applicable to any consumable though this seems to be a pretty expensive one.

I've spent a few years in the CANDU world so it's interesting to hear opinions from elsewhere. I've grown to appreciate the lag time the design gives you.

I was also impressed with the ticket experience. Everything flowed nicely. I visited almost a decade ago and I'd like to go back to see how much has changed since then.

While I very much acknowledge the Osprey program failures, the claim was that the JFS is the safest program ever fielded.

Previous poster claimed that all of the magic was hardware but I've always been told that it was in the software. HPE now seems to have some agreement with Arista.

Hmm no I don't think so, the goal with multiplexing is to keep the streams separate so you can untangle them at the end since you're running multiple customers on a fiber. Losing a wavelength means less streams you can fit on it.
