How did they monitor it? Did they stab the volunteers or take pieces of proteins from the thigh?

This specific graphic seems to be by weight. The type of meats the Inuits eat is really high in fat.

That is absolutely brutal lag! It would feel like using a 10 year old phone with today's bloatware!

Scouting as described in this article is exactly what we need to foster in today's false news world. I am doing all I can to drive this point home with my children.

You kind of need to if you want to change the screen brightness, play/pause music or video and change the volume. These are things I do all the time on my keyboard and honestly the experience with TouchBar is drastically less pleasant

Nice tech demo. Looks more like a good UI for making a game. Not sure what advantages it has over an existing 2D version though.

My father did a lot of stained glass window when I was young. When we moved countries he couldn't take it up again for lack of funds but I have fond memories geeking out with him about it. He would draw amazing things with it and I wis

Wouldn't it be cool if you could use your cellphone instead of using a data plan?

I went through a really bad burn out and depression a year and a half ago. I was dealing with layoffs at work, a failing relationship with my wife, death in the family and having to support two people financially when their health was faili

We hire interims or share responsibilities between other members of the team. It happens all the time and we rarely find an issue with this. If any company is run in such a way that bus-factor means the company can't thrive with one pe

My top books: - The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan - It gave me the tools required to cut through bullshit and helped me free myself from the shackles of a religious upbringing - The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins - Gave me the courage

I came from a deeply religious family and read this book after reading Contact (a friend lent me). It too had a lasting impact on my worldview. I cultivate a skeptical worldview nowadays thanks to this book.

That isn't an accident. The Model 3 was meant to be called Model E but Ford owns the rights to that name even though they haven't marketed a Model E in forever.

This one was weird but for someone who only does Javascript it might not. # is not a comment in Javascript but is in many other languages I use which really threw me for a loop.

It's just a trailer for the show. This small japanese woman walks in people's homes with a huge smile and helps them organize their stuff. Houses are mostly full of piles of unneeded things and there are many cutscenes of people

I really dislike Rooibos and find it unlike tea in many ways. It has a grassy smell and it tastes very tannic and astringent compared to regular tea. I find my favorite caffeine-free replacement is chaga infusions. You can taste it isn&#x27

I didn't hear about Erlang as much as I did since Elixir came out and showed me the power of the VM and its ecosystem. As a ruby developer it's easy to pick up Elixir and I'm learning so much more about functional programming

Good thing there was the developer tool to change the URL of those images showing off the actions. They were 22 pixels high making them impossible to understand.

I'm really impressed with all that is happening in the Erlang/Elixir world nowadays. I didn't realize that this community was so actively introducing new features and improvements to what is already a rock solid toolset.

Canada has the most expensive plans in the first world and we don't have access to Google Fi yet. It's ridiculous how expensive it can be to have data here.

I saw BTC as a more modern gold. So sad that there were scams bringing up the price artificially. This could have been the every person's means to have full control over their own money.
