High-traffic websites ? He said quarter-million requests a day, so 3 requests per second (and inetd forks a process per connection, not per HTTP request).

Hard to believe, but the sources compile cleanly on win32 (using mingw). And ... it actually works! I put binaries up at http://patraulea.com/diveclog/diveclog-win32-110904.zip

Unlike HTTP, SPDY is no longer plain-text (it uses a packet structure similar to TCP headers). While Wireshark's usability has been constantly improving, I will miss being able to do: $ telnet google.com 80 GET / HTTP/1.1 Host: goog

Here's a comparison of playing 720p video using Flash versus Mplayer: http://imgur.com/fq5c1 Mplayer is roughly twice as fast, and both are using libavcodec for decoding H264.

"Really complicated" is possibly related to having to decrypt/reencrypt to HTTP at every hop. Otherwise all but the last node are basic pipes.

What if you're trying to learn a new, popular language and you can't come up with one plausible construct, let alone two ? The gutenberg project may be of help: if books are available in both a language you know as well as one you're trying

The 34-54 age-group is a 20-years interval (28%) versus 24-34, which is a 10-years interval (25%). In other words, there are almost twice as many users in the 24-34 interval as either in the 34-44 or the 44-54 intervals (contrary to what th
