Simply read RSS/Atom via mail (Rss2Email, for instance, there are few others) and simply have your mail synchronized as usual via IMAP. No need of a LAMP stack.

Git is a dVCS so yes, it's already decentralized and in that sense GitHub is a mere "starting place" for newcomers who want to checkout the official repo. However many, too many, use proprietary stuff offered by GitHub on top

Personally I left GMail & others Google services for similar reasons: I need my data in my hand, I know they are substantially public but at least I can own them locally.

May I ask why IPFS instead of ZeroNet that's explicitly build to be a P2P distributed website platform and it's far more simple, lighter and clear than IPFS?

In the past we have had few "code repos" from Savannah to Sf and few sites like freshmeat to spread the news, the code, the idea. Of course we also have had and have used usenet. IMVHO today it's time to evalutare ZeroNet for

The problem is a matter of audience and missing communications IMO. In the old usenet we do communicate DIRECTLY each others so anyone have a reputation, so we know "original sources" and we prize accordingly. In today's worl
