I like this. I call it "making something solid enough to argue about." Once you get out of the realm of design docs and create something people can poke at the next steps become clear. Just do something to move the ball up the fie

HomePods "synergize" well with Apple Music subscriptions. I also think they're a protective measure to keep people from getting someone else's smart device, which might lead you into someone else's ecosystem.

By that logic it never makes sense to buy a computer. It'll be obsolete in 18 months! Electric cars are cheaper to operate that gas RIGHT NOW, with less maintenance. No reason to hold off just because they're going to get better.

Hard to TL;DR because it's a twisty tale that doesn't make a lot of sense. It was the name of an unrelated book by an obscure author that was adapted into a "film treatment" by Willam Burroughs; and it was sitting on the

Isn't that what Pons and Fleischmann did, calling a press conference? Going through review and publication first seems more prudent.

Hopefully the thief sees the warnings and picks a different bike lock to cut instead. The lock doesn't have to deploy the skunk to be effective. BRB going to print up some warning stickers for my lock.

I had a similar thought today about e-bikes and other micro vehicles; why do we allow e-bikes to ride on the road, but ban small trucks and tuk-tuks like this one? https://electrek.co/2021/10/25/i-actually-bou

To me that implies that real animals are scarce; the price is not related to any kind of "artistic realness." If they said that hand-crafted robotic snakes were more expensive than run-of-the-mill live-bred snakes, that would supp
