Just from looking over the source for a moment, I had a few questions/points: * Why doesn't the put() method have a parameter for the payload? Sending a PUT with headers only is .... uncommon to me. * How can I use this to test my

It's a build requirement, not a requirement to run the app. If you know a better way to install grunt-contribs, please tell me. I made it more obvious in the readme that you do not need build tools to run Hosty. Seems like that confuse

Things got more complicated when I decided not to just use CSS/JS from some CDN, but have it locally available. Then I needed to postprocess the CSS to remove @include rules. Most of the build process is meant to create small, versione

That's why I do provide pre-packaged ZIP files, which don't require you to have npm, grunt, bower or Composer. ;-)

Nice work! I don't know how this could ever be useful to me, but still, it works flawlessly. :-)

Some weeks ago, I got tired of using imgur for hosting screenshots and stuff, partially because I was trying to share work-related content and using a public site like imgur doesn't seem appropriate. I then looked around for existing,

The website looks like it's either missing CSS or it's straight from the 90's. Maybe this is the intended style, but to me it looked like a very very old website. Super bright colors, serif fonts, not responsive, bad rounded

I'm always sceptical of so-called "drop-in things". PHP Plumber is supposed to contain "Drop-in create, read, update and delete functions" -- what is that even supposed to mean? But the bigger issue for me is that t

Sorry to be so blunt, but this seems like something straight from TheDailyWTF. :/ Do you gain any abstraction over the underlying DBMS, like with using Doctrine?

Welcome to PHP. The Zend Engine 2 is basically the spec, even though Facebook has recently (couple of weeks ago) started writing a spec to make sure their HHVM is compatible.

I like the simplicity and the better Windows support. Many things in git rely on you having a powerful shell, which is not the case on Windows (who wants to use cygwin all the time?). In Mercurial I never lost a commit, even as a beginner.

Damn, another project giving up on Mercurial and switching to Git. :-/ A few more major ones and basically nobody is using Mercurial anymore. How sad.

It's different in the way that it's trivial to use npm to install grunt and run builds on Windows, but not trivial to get a Makefile to run (if you don't want to resort to running cygwin bashs all the time).

Please stop sharing this blog post like it's the Holy Grail. It's full of nonsense and false information about PHP. Not that there aren't issues in PHP, but this assembly is just "PHP doesn't have feature X and does
