Ahh, what a useful link! Bookmarking immediately. I use AWK like once a year but when I do, I usually struggle a lot. Your examples are really helpful!

Two words: News. Blur. I have been using https://newsblur.com for years now (ever since Google Reader died) and am not switching to anything else soon. RSS is not dead.

Why use the word RECURSIVE at all? The engine should recognize the "recursiveness" of the CTE automatically, at the compile stage. Some other DB engines have had this for years.

"The Cyberiad" was to me what reading primers are to the most of humanity: I learnt to read on it, being barely 4.5 y.o. I am in mid forties now; discovered Kandel's translation recently and falled in love with it immediately

Yep, been using NewsBlur since almost day 1 and never looked back. The two killer features for me are (1) mouseless operation and (2) the blurblog where I can send favourite stories then make them available via a single RSS feed.

I am using WPDiscuz: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpdiscuz/ The free version is good enough for casual blogging. No ads, no tracking, visually appealing.

Great idea. It took me some 2 years to realize that piano wasn't my favourite way of making noise; on the other hand though it gave me a solid base on the theory of music (intervals, notation, cleffs etc) so that picking another instru

True, although I can also imagine curl being used in other types of devices. This makes things a bit more complicated I guess.

DDoS on LastPass is not a big deal as long as you have at least one device logged on. LastPass database is stored locally and can be used off-line.

Anyone for Stanisław Lem's "Tales of Pirx the Pilot"? One of the stories there ("The Inquest") shows how human imperfection (resulting in indecision in the critical moment) saved a spaceship. Indeed, indecision some
