Take a look at how many YC backed companies have arb clauses in consumer contracts. It's not just a GOP problem.

There's no precedent or issue-preclusion with arbitration. So any win you get in one case will have to be re-fought 150,000 times. Hardly a time effective plan.

As the other commentator mentioned, how is this related to consumer lawsuits?

Wouldn't the counter be true, then? By not letting consumers sue, it only incentivizes more corrupt business practices?

Do you have any stats on "frivolous lawsuits brought by 'shakedown' attorneys"?

Right, but this chart ignores that (as far as I can tell). If US listed companies are going to eat more of the global GDP, then it wouldn't be crazy that the value of the stocks will exceed GDP of the country in which it's listed

Good point. I'd wager that US listed companies' share of profit and/or income growth outside of the US has increased since the 70s/80s. I'd at least have a global crosscheck of some kind.

They didn't say M.D.s, did they? Or, they could have only 10 customers and 1 is an MD (and a shareholder?).

FaceTime seems to be way more popular than most realize. Anecdotally, my children use it daily to talk with grandparents and cousins and I see people on public transportation using it in place of telephone calls (makes more sense there beca

Judging by the game, your target market is not the type of person who responds to a Facebook ad. I'm running tons of ads on FB, but my market is less sophisticated. I'm surprised by how many responses we get.

How could that possibly be the case? Suppose the regulation states every new unit needs 10 parking spots--now that single unit must carry the cost of those additional parking spots.

I think the argument is that city planners (the State) requires a minimum amount of parking for all structures, thereby raising the price of all goods. It's not that expensive things are bad, but that maybe the State should focus on af

I find it interesting that TechCrunch publishes (albeit through the "contributor network") a piece that derides tracking and declares "Privacy [a]s a fundamental human right" on the same day it runs another piece saying

My scam meeter is off the charts. It's exactly like Tesla except no tangible product, no funding, no founder with a proven track record, and way too many details.

I agree--but the issue will likely be traceability. That is, how can the victim prove that the malware they received came from PageFair? Unless the victim had a log of all network traffic, I'm not sure there's any way to show that
