Right? When Apple expects $149 minimum for their extremely mediocre membrane keyboard, and its only feature is the one they cheat to keep exclusive, it's embarrassing how much better a tiny team can do.

Not arguing with the general usefulness of the USB hub, but Apple chooses to make their Touch ID sensor 100% proprietary, so the inclusion of a hub is a separate topic to the comment you're quoting. There's no USB Touch ID reader,

Some people I know just velcro a Magic Keyboard to the bottom of their desktop for this reason. So frustrating that Apple won't sell just a button even at any price. Gotta buy their terrible keyboard for $150 to get that. eyeroll

Thanks for posting this! It's an awesome tool. Makes me want to buy more tiny PCs. My only feedback is many of the ebay listings it points to are sold out, but I assume there's a limit to the freshness you can get. Still though, I

Great domain name. Consider hosting a US site too, where we call our bribes “campaign and PAC contributions” and they’re completely legal, and while everyone knows about the bribes existing, most people think only The Other Party takes them

To be fair, you don’t have any evidence that they could. It’s speculation either way. The only data we have is they spend more every year, and that they still have the audacity to aggressively fundraise constantly by plastering every articl

I think IRL in the “rejection” case they don’t want to tell the user exactly why, since the user may be malicious and use it to try to evade the block. And for use in moderating UGC, well, most platforms don’t take seriously the idea that t

That’s like 2006 reasoning. An end user contacting someone who cares and has an intention to explain why it happened. 2016 scenario: An end user contacts the company, and a customer service rep answers the ticket, saying they’re sorry and e

I’ve felt for quite a long while that the moderation regime we fell into sometime around 2018-2020 has been shockingly bad. The rules are known and evaded by everyone, to the point I’m pretty sure Webster’s is adding “unalive” to the dictio

Here in America it’s the same - the people selling the fake stuff (sorry, “plant based stuff”) get around it by using fanciful spellings, that’s why we have “Cheez” and “OatMylk” and stuff. Also a VERY popular one: “Crème” - sounds fancy an
