Pricing greatly depends on location. Full-price tickets are $28.99 in New York for non-IMAX or special showing. Los Angeles is $22-24. My local theater in a small Arizona town is $10 full-price and $5 off peak. We just saw Superman in a Las

I’ve reread Transmetropolian more times than Neuromancer and Snow Crash. And I love Neuromancer and Snow Crash. It rewards rereads like few graphic novels. Highly recommended.

There is an unofficial version of The Hobbit called the “m4 book edit” floating around that removes most of the extraneous junk. It’s vastly better than the theatrical versions.

It looks like "statistical agreement" is doing a lot of work in that statement.

Another recommendation for the Unhook extension. Literally cannot use YT without it now.

Deviant Ollam has a video with clips from the crosswalks. He also mentions the accessibility is not impacted. Worth a watch if you haven’t heard the AI impressions. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=woQEJ_fY8Mw

The book has a few mentions of an Apple II on the USS Dallas and that the sonarman, Jones, is the boat champion of Choplifter and Zork. As a nerdy teenager, I always loved that detail.

If you haven’t heard it, Public Service Broadcasting used the JFK speech in their song “The Race for Space” from the album of the same name. If you’re even partially a space nerd, it’s worth a listen. Very inspirational and the final album

Similarly, I use Unhook because it gives me fine control over what YT displays. I now find YT to be completely unusable without it.

We always taught our kids that if you’re not five minutes early, you’re late. One boy took it to heart and is very prompt. The other, eh, not so much. He was almost late to his own wedding.
