Seagal's designs are fantastic. His approach is more convincing in terms of fab methods/cost and looks a little less standardised compared to wikihouse imo.

Part of it is safety I imagine. Hydrogen can be nasty (e.g. blow up) if not handled correctly in the electrolyser design.

Sorry to hear that! Valid point ofc, I would like to see if they have addressed that with the wooden build. BTW the plans can be made using non-wooden materials or limited wood but this may change the zero carbon status/ease of fabrica

True, I guess as the other commenter has pointed out there is a huge difference between scripting languages and their seeming closeness to natural language compared to mathy languages like Haskell that have this isomorphism and are very str

Ah cool, that looks interesting! My interest in the comment was whether learning programming is like learning for natural languages or mathematics. At least one study shows that both intuitions about learning programming turn out to be wron

Love this, thanks for sharing! Computational materials design combined with this will be profound. On the materials and machine learning side check out Taylor Sparks series on yt: https://www.youtube.com/c/TaylorSparks

Do you have proof of this like a large participant study or it is just intuition or your personal experience? I feel like lots of people who are good at maths are good at programming but they are not actually similar structurally. To me it

Some of the arguments seem misplaced via bad assumptions. This is exactly the approach that will alienate trad thinkers who need to be convinced in order for any effective action to be taken. Here are the issues I had: - Highly processed f

Yes, this is a weird argument and unnecessary for the main target of the article. There were plenty of successful microactuators, sensors, full microrobots, etc even when this article was written (2010).
