Learned about these from Rust In Action book. Seems like programmers keep rediscovering stuff now and then.

I find rust and scala quite similar on learning curves. You have to reach a certain level before you can work with the language and library ecosystem. The benefits proposed by proponents of both languages are there but after the mean of the

Microsoft is huge, with a lot of technical/organizational legacy. Think of it like a Linux distro, cloud, gaming, ERP and what not all rolled under one brand. So communications cannot always happen 1-to-1 like a clique in a graph. Even

Its surprising how often I was already visiting a clique of sub-reddits. Even more surprising how much I was missing out on similar sub-reddits. This visualization is really a discovery tool I needed.

These freedoms definitely make sense to me. If they were not present we would be living in a very different world where large corporations would keep us in walled gardens and no possible alternative. We would have software available for stu

I have been using nushell on Windows for a long time. It has a feel similar to Linux shell and yet it runs natively on Windows. This release is definitely a huge bump and really appreciate how shiny it is.

Starting with plain HTML, CSS and Javascript makes sense as it helps to know underlying concepts. But its a big leap from writing basic pages to writing React. Suddenly you have to know npx, packaging, transpiling and what not. Nothing in t

If in some way I can run transpile / natively run Java bytecode in a browser over DOM, it would be wonderful! A statically typed and no-nonsense language for my browser and HTML5 apps. Just tired of Javascript and its workarounds.
