My wife's Dell gaming laptop just installed a BIOS/Firmware update today, straight from Windows Update. Surprised me to see the firmware update after doing a reboot from updates.

A game is a game. There is no "real gaming". Apple Arcade with a Xbox controller paired to a Mac is actually a fun gaming device for some types of gamers. Genshin Impact is a great game that is on iOS in addition to "real c

Every single device on your iCloud account gets the 2FA prompt. You then choose which device you want to confirm the request on. The prompt does not go to just a single device, but every single device on said iCloud account.

iOS is still useful without an iCloud account. Everything still works. Calendar, Calculator, Contacts, Safari, Music, etc, on and on all work just fine. You can add any number of third party services with the email app. All you loose no

You can most definitely setup an iOS device without signing into iCloud, same as you don't need to use a Google account for an Android device. macOS is also quite a capable workstation OS that needs no account other than a local accoun

I think because while not clean and not "properly fixed" a very simple workaround was provided? I don't know why else. You said your app was just slower under Firefox? So it at least "works", no?

Parallels can interface with the Hypervisor Framework instead of it's own, so there is at least one decent GUI. However performance compared to the Parallels hypervisor is very poor. I would be interested in an Apple VM app overlay f

The Hypervisor framework has been in macOS since at least Mojave (if not longer, this is just what I began using it), it's not new to macOS 11.

Wipr works wonderful on macOS and iOS. NextDNS is also an option. I use both together on my Mac's and iOS devices. Wipr is one of the many content blockers available for Safari, be it iOS or macOS.

Safari has tons of users, the majority being on mobile. Safari has functioning content blocking. What is the point of your comment?

I've yet to see a iOS or macOS content blocker that doesn't use multiple filter rules to bypass the 50k limit.

So just install a content blocker? I don't get what you're trying to say. Plenty of them out there for iOS and macOS and they work well.

Because content blockers are fine for the majority of users, IMO. Of course there will be power users who are buggered, but things like Wipr on iOS and macOS work just fine for blocking ads. I switched to Wipr on my devices and ads are sti
