Apparently someone reverse engineered the firmware[0] to find it. I don't see how they could easily change the password, except for perhaps using a custom tag that would only allow incrementing the values with the existing password (wh

I like how these arguments always seem to imply that the software engineers are the ones who have to care way more about morals and ethics than whoever came up with the morally questionable "feature" to implement.

Maybe try to get in touch with Lumafield? They do CT scanning (and managed to make themselves known through "Scan of the Month" lumafield.com scanofthemonth.com

Wonder if Kagi's universal summarizer would work on recipe videos. It seems to do a decent job on YouTube videos, but those usually have cc built in.

I would bet that instead of python it's JavaScript and a webapp pretending to be a native application.

This is definitely better than many of the alternatives but still not perfect. With Zigbee etc you end up locked into one or more of the ecosystems, not to mention some manufacturers implementing it in a way that has weird quirks (see [1]).

Honestly this sounds like a really bad edge case. Seems like they had the emergency stopping figured out, just didn't think about the possibility of a pedestrian ending up in a dangerous location afterwards...

Technically "developer mode" in win10 is kind of a similar idea?

Feels like this is where having the LLM "think out loud" helps. I've seen examples where a model makes a mistake and then corrects itself.

Wonder how hard it would be to implement in Shenzhen I/O[1]. There is functionality for importing custom LCD designs so that part shouldn't be _that_ much work (although the game logic probably would). [1] https://store

Kind of wild to think that you can run a newer Linux version in Scratch than on a lot of physical devices. Also gives "Linux From Scratch" a new meaning.

Completely agree. Only issue is that this is based on the defect rate being high enough that enough lower-bin units get produced. Could argue that at that point the price of the higher end units could be lowered a bit, but that might still
