I'm right there with you. I have a DK1 and a Rift and I strongly regret purchasing the latter instead of a Vive. It's frustrating to hear people just now complaining about Oculus abandoning niche markets.

I think this person is trying to make it sound scary. Interview responses are monitored for tone and vocabulary everywhere. Insufficient enthusiasm is often a valid reason not to hire someone. It is appropriate to ask questions about divers

It absolutely is. Concern trolling means disingenuously expressing concern about an issue in order to undermine or derail genuine discussion, which you've done here, and your other remarks about "SJWs" lay bare your motives.

This is extremely obvious concern trolling. Please don't do that here.

You know, I actually agree somewhat. I almost noted that I was having trouble finding more reliable sources, particularly concerning vegetarianism and veganism in the USA, but thought that would have completely torpedoed my argument. ;) Mor

I don't think your premise is correct. The data I can find[1][2] suggests that vegetarians and vegans are principally concerned with animal ethics. [1] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3257659&#x2F

Gender is also not about genitalia, fwiw. I see that the author of the edited comment got defensive about it and went on an irrelevant rant about singular they. Wish people like that would grow up a bit.

True, true. That's a fairer way to formulate it. But like, it's supposed to be an extremely heavyweight architecture. The benefits of microservices are arguably only apparent when you have an ample team (or teams!) of competent

Man, this is a frustrating and shallow criticism. Obviously this is over-engineered. It's a demonstration of how these patterns would fit together in an application that required them.

Your concern is, um, addressed in the article.

According to Platonism, JSON has no spatiotemporal or causal properties (like a datetime format) and thus has existed and will exist eternally. All hail JSON.

I've learned that search is very domain-specific and it's only "solved" if you can pin down what "relevant" means for your corpus of documents. In terms of fundamentals, I'd suggest reading about tf-idf, w

I liked this a lot. It was fun pasting some of my diagrams in to see how svgbob rendered them. I think I still prefer a monospaced font in the SVG (but that's easy to do with CSS).

I had a ton of fun playing with SoundStage: http://www.soundstagevr.com/ It's far from "full-featured, professional-quality", but it completely sold me on the viability of VR as a medium for audio production.
