Roads are used by everyone. Transit right-of-ways are limited to use by transit and are extremely underutilized. In many cases, it would be better to turn those in to bike and/or AV lanes.

An even better idea would be to let transit users pay the real price for the infrastructure they occupy and their negative externalities. Not many people would want to ride the subway if they had to pay the full price.
