Who's writing good scifi these days which evoke that same sense of wonder? Project Hail Mary was a fun read but felt a bit too in the weeds with the details.

Free users typically fall into sales and marketing. The idea is that if they cut off the entire free tier, they would have still made the same revenue off of paying customers by spending $X on inference and not counting the inference spend

I hear this comment a lot and I don't get it. Let's say AGI exists but it costs $100/hr to operate and it has the intelligence of a good PhD student. Does that suddenly mean that the economy breaks down or will the goalposts

If you buy a device that works over Zigbee or Zwave, a layperson doesn't need to have the skills to run a local setup because some third party can always come in and help with the integration (either some third party cloud solution or

My solution to this is to only download if the file doesn't exist. An additional bonus is that the script now runs much faster because it doesn't need to do any expensive networking/downloads.

There's no straightforward way to migrate between an iPhone and Android so you'd spend a lot of time. Also I'm not sure if it's even possible to fully move over - for example would you be able to export your iMessages? A
