I believe they are trying to make money out of other services by commoditizing internet. It seems unlikely that this aggressive pricing is to elbow out of the competitors because in this age, the tech companies normally have short-lived mon

I am not sure how much we can read into it because they are the ones who are already bought in to that ecosystem. Even I was a happy WP user and but I can't be sure how much of my satisfaction was out of choice-supportive bias.

IMO it is not a fair comparison between EMR and MapR flavor of hadoop as they are designed for different usecases. MapR and other flavors of hadoop are engineered to make the task of administering a long running cluster easy. In comparison,

I saw a similar complaint video[1] from ZoggfromBetelgeuse but didn't know the problem was pervasive. It is a shame this killed one of the best channels on YT. [1] https://youtu.be/SADDJY7e7cM

As many others pointed out, these product vendors are getting killed by the cloud (I am not saying whether it is good or bad). On-demand compute and storage scalability of cloud makes perfect sense for Big data infrastructure. These compani

I don't understand why everyone talks about cleaning the ball, whereas for it was the roller which accumulated dirt every time. Gone are the days when we shuddered to use mouse without a mousepad. A truly welcome change indeed.
