This year's "Used it before, would use again" is next year's "Used it before, would not use again".

Is this really true, or do we just have a short memory? Many hated Obama when he ran. Before that, many hated GW Bush. Before that, maybe not as much. But that was also before social media, which serves as an amplifier for the hate.

We created a number of Gradle plugins for our common boilerplate. We publish those as a JAR into our internal Artifactory, and they're easily applied to any of our modules.

I don't think a legacy AngularJS project is necessarily full of any more fatigue than a React project will be in a few years time. That's not really fair, though. It will be a React + x + y + z project, because as you said, React

I suppose that's the price people will pay for needing the latest shiny (React) instead of the now old and boring Ember or AngularJs. And also thinking that the solution that works for Facebook is the one that is the best fit for a sm

It's hard to believe you cannot understand their perspective. You might disagree with it, but it's not hard to comprehend. Let's not turn this into a dogs vs. cats thread.

I had a similar experience on a Golden Circle tour in Iceland, but it didn't put me in a happy spending mood. Our stop at Kerid Crater Lake was really short, in favor of the next stop at a strip mall. I was not amused. Though despite

You're probably right. MLB has been around a long time, and somehow they still maintain an antitrust exemption, so they probably know what they're doing.

That may be true. I meant that it isn't forward thinking to require viewers to have a cable subscription to watch, even if it means more revenue in the short term. Even for me as a lifelong baseball fan, I've largely stopped watch

I have thought about doing that, but as with any ideas I have, I assume that if it was a good idea, someone would already be doing it!

This is a concern for me as I consider "early" retirement. I'm not sure what I would do with all that time. I took a bit of a sabbatical a few years ago and ran into some of the problems described in the article. After a few

I think that a lot of it is what you're accustomed to drinking. I used to only drink regular colas and hated the taste of diet. I now drink only diet, and regular tastes too sweet to me.

Where I work, we're a small dev team of a few full stack developers and a designer. Our designer does the CSS, and the devs the JS. The separation works well enough for us. YMMV.
