That is the trick. In the happy path you are not assigning(`node=next`). It is taken care of by `node++`, which removes the loop dependency and the processor can use the full instruction level parallelism.

So the solution is to write assembly for an extremely common micro-architecture design. Maybe the compilers should provide more tools to exploit such parallelism. That asm block looks like a weird hack.

while (node) { value += node->value; next = node->next; So it is the same thing.

The repo link: https://github.com/juiceRv/JuiceVm It seems to be booting a riscv vm, which is capable of running linux. The hardware capabilities of ESP32 is not very important(except being fast enough).

BSDs are not just sticking to what UNIX was(let's say v7?). They are also doing their own thing.

Yes that was poorly thought out. I realized it after i commented. There is definitely some merit in being puritanical about not having any allocations in operators.

UNIX is not a thing anymore, nobody writes UNIX code. People use various compatibility layer or straight up use kernel abis. And they are all improving over time. So no they are not all stuck in 80s. Even linux kernel devs are willing to ad

So zig doesn't support 64bit arithmetics on 32/16/8bit architectures? What about division? Quite a few hardware don't support division( https://community.arm.com/developer/ip-products/processors

Adapton falls in this category of incremental computing. http://adapton.org/

It's a single threaded vm like python/nodejs with ffi support. So you can expect same things i.e. ipc/network to communicate with outside.

Use nix-env -i . But i would suggest using home-manager instead.

What happens when your windows system goes haywire(disk failure/os update gone wrong)? Good luck getting it work the same even if you have backups. One of the reasons i love NixOS is i can get it work exactly the same as it was before

There is also clojurescript which is fairly popular. I am not a large fan of using these for websites since they have their own heavy runtime that needs to be shipped. ReasonML did fairly well in this aspect but there is still a baggage.

The answer should be to educate the people. Judging the progress in the ML research, it is a lost battle trying to "protect" people from propaganda/misinformation. And i don't trust the indian authorities to do it right

The problem is really about tooling, you also need people who can fix bugs/port to new arch in the compiler and related tools. For a very popular language you can always find the right people for this task or even offload this task lik

There are some conflicting things, why would you do a clean OS design(this would be great and i would very much like to see some experiment with serious effort) and write it in C? You would already be throwing most of useful programs that e
