To me, there is a big difference between discussing politics and preaching politics. I do want my company to tell me not to discuss politics with coworkers who are willing to discuss it. Not dicussing politics, especially with people who ha

All the people I know with money that have shared their effective tax rate pay way less than I do. Way less than this chart shows as well. I'm talking down to the single digits for effective tax rate. I can't 100% confirm that the

Unless I'm writing 'select *', I always do the select portion of a SQL query last. Starting with from enables helps with autocomplete on most editors too. I actually with 'select' was at the bottom. The only reason

That's only client side blazor. Server side just streams DOM changes (efficiently). Even for client side, the actual amount downloaded is usually pretty small.

I tried it out for a side project and I loved it. I've written more C# than javascript, but I think that web development is a mess. I've used Angular, Vue, and React, and, to me, they all have the same problems. They're not b

How is that relevant at all? We're talking about package management. .NET uses nuget. Let's look at the nuget site: https://www.nuget.org/ > NuGet is the package manager for .NET. So my point is invalid because

I'm not sure that you understand what .NET is. .NET is a platform/ecosystem. I was talking about packages. Packages are managed by nuget, which works across all .NET languages, which is why I didn't specify a language.

See, .NET get a lot of hate from the open source community, but this reason is one of the big ones of why I prefer it. Even when you compare it to Java, I feel like it's way better in this regard. If I want to work with JSON, I use New

I'd say it's this, but with a couple more thing. One is a lot of experience with the tools they are using. Not having to learn something new saves time. The other is not over-engineering. They have a great idea of the scope and sc

Physical Magic cards hold their value really well, and, in general, increase in value. In comparison, MTG Arena costs less overall, but there is no way to cash out. I have nothing of value. Just an account with digital cards. I could sell t

The problem is that SSNs are not secret to begin with. They are a unique identifier that is in hundreds of systems already. They provide no security. We need another common system to confirm people's identities.
