Still better than computing where everything new thing is named after a generic household item that makes it completely impossible to disambiguate while searching.

On a side note, I feel like this could be recreated as a Minecraft mod, it already has procedural terrain, the waypoints can be placed procedurally as well, and the maps can be generated from height data automatically.

The energy level involved for pair production is astronomically far away from the application discussed here, not to mention the intensity required due to the infinitesimally tiny cross section. This is more using matter as an intermediary

The gyroscope in your phone is (microelectro)mechanical. Considering that the Rolex in question are using MEMS-based techniques, they might as well go all the way and make an entire movement out of MEMS designs.

Most interesting point of the article is the fact that Rolex are now using MEMS techniques to make silicon mechanical parts for watches. IMO that’s kind of “cheating”, fab tech makes it way too easy compared to traditional metal machining c

Yes, hence I wrote (axial translation)+(screw rotation) instead of just (translation)+(rotation).

essentially you decompose the transformation into (axial translation) + (screw rotation) + (oriented orthogonal stretch) and each of them are just straightforward interpolation: axial is linear, screw is angular, and stretch is exponential.
