I think it’s good that you were able to own a house even though it lost in value. This ownership still sounds better to me than only being able to rent an apartment. Renting always means that the payments lead to 0% ownership in the end, he

Bigger padding around UI elements is literally my biggest annoyance with Big Sur. (and still, missing subpixel rendering, hence staying on 10.11 here)

macOS 10.14 or later required. (Still on 10.11 here)

Is that why I prefer the iPhone design with a white front cover until iPhone 8? This is by the way also much easier on the eyes when reading because it reduces contrast, thus avoids ghost images.

Won’t this drive up the costs for students in the long run?

Oh macOS... I am still on El Capitan where PDFs are rendered with subpixels. Yes, I can see the difference even on retina displays.

A PhD usually focuses on depth because you need to find new results, which usually isn't possible with breadth alone. A nice visualization: http://matt.might.net/articles/phd-school-in-pictures/

I know I shouldn't find that funny, but I actually wondered why you see demand for "square feet", like literally, feet with a square shape (I am German, used to the metric system). On top of that: In German there is the expre

Rents are easily adjusted for the new income. Limiting the increase of rents is often named as a feasible remedy. However this can be circumvented by renovations, after which the rent can be increased. Or reversely, renovations might be omi

The issue is that subpixel antialiasing is removed, which affects both retina displays and, more heavily, the non-retina display. In 10.12, Apple reimplemented its PDF renderer. With that, the subpixel antialiasing was removed. This affects

Lucky guy, 10.11 is the last to decently display PDFs. I am still on 10.11 only because of that (I am an academic, reading and writing papers).
