Both the BSD layer _and_ the polished interface let me switch to Mac OS X in 2004 as a developer. Trying to get a nice Linux GUI was too much of a time sink for me then.

For TimeMachine backups, the file system problem can be alleviated. A possible destination is a Linux/* based Samba server that accesses, e.g., a ZFS or ext4 file system.

After quick glance on the study, I am a bit skeptical regarding proper statistical control of metropolitan temperature. In blunt words: no wonder the temperature rises if it is measured at a place that is surrounded with concrete and stone

The M1 chips have two types of cores: high-performance "Firestorm" cores and energy-efficient "Icestorm" cores, which are much slower. It is indeed possible to constrain a process to the Icestorm cores using taskpolicy:

I don’t think that he spread such a plain opinion. I think he rather tried to add balance to a one sided discussion.

It has speakers on either side. That probably kills the adequate microphone quality for free speaking on the previous iPads. The closer the microphone is to the speakers, the harder it is for loopback canceling to work good. So, back to the

Nice idea... but for those adapters, the sound quality is quite subpar as far as I know. I don't know if this can be sufficiently improved. At least, it is probably better than a FM radio transmitter.
