> Its an auction selling space on page for a supplier to provide their own textual content. Are you referring to the things that say "Ad" next to them on Google's search result pages? If so... those are ads.

Yeah, it feels like the author wrote all the things they wanted to say as separate sentences, sometimes multiple times, and then randomized the order of the sentences. Really weird structure.

Yeah, the bundled software for the RCX was pretty awful, and was Windows-only. That's why I used brickOS, which let me write C (or was it C++?) code to run on the RCX, and it also worked on Linux. The next generation, "NXT",

I have a few RCX Mindstorms sets, and the software was always a problem. Thankfully, there were some open source alternatives, like http://brickos.sourceforge.net/ As an aside I'm pretty sure my RCX IR towers use seria

Not sure what the number of views has to do with anything, but this one has over 80k: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LwMokG2urk Search for "391533" and you can find several others with thousands of views.

That's probably part of it. Another possible factor: When I was at Google there was a similar phenomenon where any sufficiently complicated Python system seemed to get reimplemented in something with static types. A problem we had with

That's definitely better than command-`, thanks. It's still not as nice as alt-tab, though. Frequently most of my windows are a mix of terminals and browser windows. I may be using several web apps and several command-line tools.

The bigger issue is that command-tab switches between apps, not windows, and command-` switches between windows in the same app, and neither work across spaces. I ended up installing https://alt-tab-macos.netlify.app/ which

In the 90s, pretty much everywhere I worked used a locking source control system, where you'd have to lock a file before you could edit it. This meant no merge conflicts, but it did mean that you had to work quickly if you wanted to ma

Yes, we held off on upgrading from 8 to 9 originally because a lot of our dependencies didn't work with 9's module system. A few months ago we jumped straight from 8 to 11, and it was easy, because all of those dependencies have s

It isn't really so much about data being "taintable", but rather about the fact that not all strings are really the same "type". In this case, the field was probably meant to be "plain text", but it was in

The ancestors of your comment mention Kotlin, not Lombok, which is why I asked. Kotlin's data classes are probably the analog to Scala's case classes, and they do not require annotations.
