Hey, thanks! Would you like me to write a commented version of that code? A lot of black magic is still hidden in every line :)

I think I see what you're meaning, but this code actually generates all the cells (<input onfocus=... onblur=... id=...>). You can execute it in a JS console and it'll work fine.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. The placeholders and the compact style (no gutters) were added in the homepage for puerly aesthetic purposes, but these things take a lot of bytes without really adding functionnality, so we decided to not cou

It does work, but you need to use dots, not commas. Ex: A1 => "4.5" A2 => "=A1+2"

Hello World, I'm xem, author of this mini app, but standing on the shoulders of giants: it's inspired by http://aem1k.com/sheet/ which was inspired by http://jsfiddle.net/ondras/hYfN3

1059027 bytes for the Shakespeare file? that's impressive. I tried something called "PAQ*" compression but it generated a file that was nearly 2MB...

Hi! I created that challenge but didn't see this HN page until now :) That's where all this traffic comes from! If you think 30 min is too short for decompression, I can change that rule. Just let me know.

Here are my 2 cents: you can decompose an Unicode string with the ES6 spread operator: [..."(insert 5 poo emoji here)"].length === 5 [..."(insert 5 poo emoji here)"][1] === "(poo emoji)"

I just tested on Chrome, Firefox and Edge (W10) and it works fine everywhere. Do you have an error showing up in your console or something?

Mainly for fun and because I like this language. Also, my goal is to let people drop a x86 demo in their browser and just watch it play or interact with it without any other tool.

Indeed, the final goal is to make it compact too. Thanks for the link! Another source of inspiration for compactness is: https://github.com/adriancable/8086tiny

Hi guyz, I'm the author of this project, but not the author of this post. Indeed the project is very incomplete and indeed it's "disassembler" - not "decompiler" :) I plan to talk about it on HN when I'm s

We're a bunch of web devs out there doing "JavaScript code-golfing", for fun. The goal is to make mini apps, or mini-games, with the smallest possible source code. Here are some handy apps / cool demos that we've ma

JS13k is a great game jam, and the only one I know that offers so many prizes to all the people that submit an entry (and even more prizes for the best entries). Great community too! You can join the Slack group here: https://js1
