Wait. You started out by scribbling down programs on a notepad and no computer? That's both adorable and inspiring. Were you working with BASIC? I'm super curious what this was like for you.

For delimited collections, so within {} and [], if the key is quoted, then you don't need the whitespace. So your example parses as expected as does `{"key":value}`, but `{key:value}` turns into `{"key:value": null}

Oof. That's YAML 1.1. Need to use a 1.2 loader, which should have much better defaults around types. No more Norway problem unless explicitly opted into. We should badger^Wencourage our libraries to stop relying on a spec that's 1

That's odd. Looks like Netplan looks like uses libyaml, and vanilla libyaml definitely parses that naked v6 addr as a plain scalar. Maybe Netplan adds an extra schema on top or something? If you know what data the bare v6 string turned

Speaking of k8s, anyone here know of ready-made solutions for getting XCode (i.e. xcodebuild) running in pods? As far as I'm aware, there are no good solutions for getting XCode running on Linux, so at the moment I'm just futzing

Actually, I think you bring up some really good points. If you believe the reals are countable, then your task is to come up with one, just one, scheme for enumerating them (i.e. putting in 1-to-1 correspondence with the naturals). If, on t

Here's a nice video that digs into the general structure of diagonalization arguments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwNxVpbEVcc It's a really neat way to see a shared core between seemingly-separate topics:

Check out https://github.com/martinvonz/jj/ . It's highly inspired by Pijul, among VCSes, and uses a git backing store, so you can use it personally and (mostly) seamlessly interact with any git-only team.

Hehe. You are absolutely right. I was hoping someone would point that out because it highlights another strong point of APL, in my opinion. APL expressions, just like mathematical formula, don't just float alone in a void in practice.

There are many styles of APL, not just due to its long history, but also because APL is somewhat agnostic to architecture paradigms. You can see heavily imperative code with explicit branching all over the place, strongly functional-style w
