I was a technician at Futureshop before (now owned by Best Buy). Software isn't covered by the extended warranty at both places so that means regardless if you have Windows or Linux issues the tech's will not fix it under the extended warra

I guess I can respond to this as I am currently taking an Applied Linear Algebra class (yay for finals). We didn't use a textbook for this class but the notes are online at: https://slate.math.ubc.ca/slate/Slate/2009-2010/Winter_Term1...

I think this is a great breakthrough for hospitals. But for consumers there should be a bit more caution. Parents always think that they should keep their children super clean etc. but the natural development of the immune system requires

They are not yet commonplace, they are still being developed. See this 2005 National Geographic article: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/01/0126_050126_... I can't seem to find too much details on how it might work other than

I think you would use MLComp as a baseline. You have a set of data that you can run generic algorithms on to show you what the best results are without any further considerations. It is also useful for researchers who develop new algorithms

As a student I agree that there should be a way to differentiate ourselves -- but I think there already is. I started thinking Med school but I liked computer science so I did a Combined Major in computer science and microbiology. I found c

Cell growth isn't independent of the cells around them. For example if you get cut the cells around a gap will send out external signals (send and pray) which might cause other cells to start growing. Once the gap is filled (i.e. the cells

I've used it quite a bit to test out both C and PHP. For basic snippets its great. I think it could be improved by tying in reference code. Perhaps mine the PHP manuals for sample code and put it in to allow editing.

I'll expand upon that. The article claims not many people creatively think of new solutions to existing problems. But the problem is that of the people who do think creatively fewer have the energy and determination to actually do something

Summary: The reversibility/irreversibility of evolution has been difficult to measure empirically. The researchers found a protein and its ancestral protein. They found key mutations that act like evolutionary ratchets. If the key mutations

I guess this is analogous to a Heisenberg principle for computer science. You either have information on a person which increases the likelihood of identification, or you can have no information at all.

This is great, a few years back I was working with a local highschool to setup remote terminals using the NX protocol, the project ended up going nowhere though due to a lack of hardware.

I've found that the quietest library on my campus is the Law library. Very few undergrad groups studying there (which is usually what causes noise I've found).

What you are trying to describe is transcription, the process of reading a DNA template to produce a RNA transcript. This is done in the nucleus for eukaryotes, and in the nucleoid for prokaryotes (which don't have a nucleus). RNA Polymeras
