Disingenuous article. The headline should be "Google Location Tracking is on by default in a brand new Google account and I don't like that". https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3118687

US-only, I've had good luck with the NWS JSON API[1]. Someone posted a while ago on here[2] about taking in various NWS models and creating "Pirate Weather"[3], a drop-in replacement for Dark Sky. 1. https://www.we

Love love love love this. This would be great for kids. I pitched a very similar "weather for kids" visualizer product idea on the very first episode of my podcast. https://spitball.show/@podcast/episodes/

You used the word "scam" six times in your comment. That is a bit exaggerative of the actual company structure. Creators are getting paid to put various forms of exclusives on the platform. Just because the company uses a disingen

Very cool, congrats on the launch. You're spending nearly all of your time in the stratosphere collecting data, but what correlation does that have to ground forecasts? Are your "AI models" that you're producing forecast

From what I understand, Mastodon is to Twitter as WriteFreely is to WordPress.com/Medium/Blogger/etc. Fediverse-aware, open-source, with a flagship SaaS hosted instance available at https://write.as . If microblogg

I like Cassidy James' idea of linking a blog post to a Mastodon post[1], and showing the corresponding social interactions as a comments section at the bottom of the post. All static site client-side! 1. https://cassidyjames
